How Nurses Currently Use the Educational Technology

This is where the role of Epic is unknown to many professionals.

The role of the Epic tool is crucial in offering palliative care to professionals and students at Michigan University. The metrics help demonstrate a tool’s effectiveness (Mason et al., 2022). For example, the metrics are associated with improved learning outcomes and nurse skills development. The first positive metric is the documentation of patient information without delay. Moreover, technology also helps improve patient satisfaction and safety, and financial benefits. These metrics show that Epic is a useful tool for the institution to improve patient safety. However, in this simulation-based learning environment, developing multiple skills is crucial for nurses and educators to perform immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Moreover, surgery, vascular puncture, and anesthesia skills are vital to performing these procedures on simulation tools (Lockerby et al., 2021). 

Using e-learning tools, nursing educators have demonstrated new expertise and positive outcomes. Their critical thinking has improved with patient satisfaction. It also states that using simulation-based technologies in educational institutions has reduced students’ stress levels and decreased their overall workload (Minty et al., 2022). This can help them improve their confidence. However, this endeavor also requires significant financial investment and the use of resources, and not all institutions can implement these tools for students learning. However, the efficacy of data has been proven by the fact that using such tools increases patients’ satisfaction and recovery rate by 25% in one month. Therefore, technology utilization can be improved by focusing on its quality, regularly maintaining computer systems, and keeping them spyware or virus-free to allow seamless usage of these tools. The interpretation of software will improve when nurses are given more awareness regarding their patient care benefits.

The organization has a holistic mission to improve the utilization of technology in nursing education and educational institution to improve academics and customer satisfaction. The organization has widened its current vision related to technology use, and introducing this new Epic technology has been a hallmark of equipping learners with evidence-based practices. This shows that incorporating scholarly evidence can help the organization enhance the use of cutting-edge tools. This simulation concept will change nurses’ learning forever through the development of practices such as respect, trust, faith, tenacity, equality, empathy, humbleness, and motivation (Kis et al., 2019). 

Recommendations for Technology Use 

. There is a need to enhance nursing students’ compliance practices and skills. Moreover, training manuals must be created and provided to nursing students to ensure proper technology use. The organization must run special financial campaigns for the assistance of technical experts and ensure feedback on learning outcomes (Harvey et al., 2022). Moreover, educational manuals can help professionals reduce their errors and learn from workshops under the guidance of experts in this field. These recommendations can easily align with the objectives and missions of this institution to perform in a high or certain manner. The nursing students will get adequate and quality experience related to various nursing practices they will use in the future and help people with technology.
