Value Statement

As a nurse, my personal values are based on compassion, integrity and respect for the dignity of every person. In all my decisions, I am guided by my high degree of commitment and accountability to ethical responsibility. I also will strive to provide just care to all patients, regardless of their background, beliefs and conditions. I am also engaged in lifelong learning and am always eager to deepen my knowledge and experience to deliver safe, evidence-based, and culturally competent care (Guven Ozdemir et al., 2025).

Respect, collaboration, and advocacy are concepts I believe in both my life and practice. I believe that I should be fair and gentle to every person and that the idea of health does not consist only of the materialistic surroundings, but it also includes the emotional, social and spiritual surroundings. I also understand when I am biased and do my best to ensure that it does not compromise my quality of care. I would also like to have a trust and open communication culture where the patients feel their voices are heard, valued and empowered to care.
