Value Statement

My personal values will be founded on compassion, integrity, and respect for the dignity of all people as a nurse. I will use my high level of commitment and responsibility towards my ethical responsibility in all my decisions. I will also endeavor to offer fair treatment to every patient, irrespective of their background, beliefs, and conditions. I am also a lifelong learner and will always be keen to learn and experience new concepts to provide evidence-based, safe, and culturally competent treatments (Guven Ozdemir et al., 2025).

I think that these concepts, respect, collaboration, and advocacy, are present in my life and practice. In my opinion, I need to be just and gentle towards all individuals, and the concept of health does not merely comprise the materialistic environment, but also the emotional, social, and spiritual environment. The nursing code of ethics meets my moral values because I am convinced that patient welfare is the most significant consideration in all the decisions made during care (Nazari et al., 2025). Another thing that I would want to have is a trust and open culture of communication wherein the patients feel that their voices are heard, appreciated, and empowered to take care.
